- I used the Choose a License page from the Creative Commons site to pick a copyright license for this blog. I choose the Attribution 3.0 Unported license. Basically, everything on this blog is available for reuse, remixing or repurposing as long as I'm given attribution. It's also a non-commercial license. So no one can take content from this blog and use it for commercial purposes without my permission.
- I found the image I'm using for my header while searching through the Free Music Archive site. I saw an interesting image of old film reels and I traced the image back to the creator. Fortunately, the image is licensed under the same copyright license as this blog, the Attribution 3.0 license. That means I'm free to use it in any way I want, as long as I give the original creator attribution (or credit). That's the beauty of Creative Commons. You can easily apply copyright licenses you're comfortable with to the content you create and share online. And on the flip-side, you can easily USE other people's content legally as I did here.
